I arrived at Lancaster is 2016 from Canada with a background in genetics but a mandate to catalyse Health Data Science across the University. Peter has been a guide and support in a range of ways; we have co-supervised students and worked on grants, he has opened new doors into different academic communities for me and provided me with invaluable advice on my direction of travel. He has also provided musical accompaniment by singing Adele and whistling in his office next to mine. It is my pleasure to describe a few of our adventures to many of his friends here who have known him far longer than I.
