Developing statistics education: what I wish they had taught me

As we venture into this new decade, we should not forget the importance of statistics education. Developing statistics means, among others, developing the way we teach statistics. What are the tools that the next generation of statistical scientists will need? In this talk I will share my ideas and opinions on what I think is the ideal set of skills for an applied statistician. In particular, I will focus on what I wish they had taught me before I started my career and I will outline the characteristics of my dream course.
